WALK
WITH
ME

In 1856, pioneers walked across plains and mountains with faith in every step. Now it's your turn.

Youth turning 14 in 2026, you're invited to the Ridgefield Stake Pioneer Trek! You'll pull handcarts with your new pioneer family, sleep under stars, laugh around campfires, and create memories that will last forever. You'll discover strengths you didn't know you had and feel the Savior walking right beside you.

This year's theme is "Walk with Me"—and on Trek, that becomes real in ways you'll never forget.

This website will be updated soon with a packing list, FAQ page, etc, so register now and check back soon for updates! Pray about what the Lord wants to teach you. Get moving, get ready, and get excited—this is going to be amazing!

LOCATION & DATES

Bing Canyon
Monday, June 22 - Thursday, June 25th

If you're turning 14 in 2026, sign up before May 1 to make sure you have a spot with a handcart family.  Don't wait!

"And thou shalt abide in me, and I in you;
therefore walk with me."

Packing List

PLEASE LABEL EVERYTHING WITH YOUR FIRST & LAST NAME

Arrive dressed in 1 set of your pioneer clothing. You will pack the other set in your bucket

Pro Tip: Ask around to families who have already been on trek, or visit second-hand stores for inexpensive clothing.

  • Sack Lunch. Everything needs to be disposable, packed in a brown paper bag. Label it with your full name.

  • Water bottle. Should be sturdy and at least 20 oz. You will be refilling it often.

  • Prescription medications. Please turn your medications into the Medical Staff, who will dispense during Trek. Don't bring more than necessary.

Wear the shoes you plan to trek in. A comfortable pair of walking, running or tennis shoes will work. We strongly discourage hoes with open-mesh tops (most running or athletic shoes). These shoes clog with sand, causing chafing and blisters.

Try to get lightweight leather hiking shoes that won’t allow sand in. However, athletic shoes are fine for the “water” pair of shoes that will go in your bucket. Do not wear new hiking boots unless you have taken time to break them in.

Your Bucket

One five-gallon bucket with a padded chair. Your bucket will be your chair.

Everything on this list must fit in your bucket
